Hi, happy to have you here! I graduated from Pennsylvania State University in December 2024 with a BFA in Technical Theatre with an emphasis in Scenic Design. I am currently a freelance props artist located in New York City. I have worked at Theatre Aspen, Lincoln Center Theatre, and New York University. I have a strong passion for creative fabrication and a genuine eagerness to learn and grow as an artist. I showcase work from 2017 through the present with the most recent work displayed at the top. Hi, my name is Laura Ledbetter and I am a contract props artist interested in props, set decoration, touring, event production. I grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and upon graduating high school went on to study graphic design at Tyler School of Art at Temple University, Philadelphia before transferring to Pennsylvania State University where I graduated with a degree in Technical Theatre with an emphasis in Scenic Design. My second year at Penn State I received a show assignment to work in the prop shop on “Tartuffe.” It was then that I discovered my love for props and story-telling. I have experience in carpentry, upholstery, hand-lettering, mold-making, welding, painting, sewing, color mixing, model making, Photoshop, Canva, and more. I served as the props apprentice at Theatre Aspen for their 2025 summer season and have since been working as an over-hire props artist at New York University and the Lincoln Center Theatre. I look forward to what the future holds in this creative industry and am excited by each opportunity that comes my way.
